Our Story
Rehoboth began in 1994 as the family home for the Lindquist family. From day one, our matriarch, Lynn, had a vision for the property to be a place of growth for her 11 children and their families and friends. Over the years, it's been a place of nourishment for many. The cows were the first livestock edition to the farm, starting with longhorns in early years and slowly transitioning to the angus and devons you see today. We also boarded horses and baled hay on some of the pastures for a time. For most of our existence, we have been a cow/calf operation focused on breeding and raising the best calves possible for other operations, with the occasional steer finished out on the pasture for personal consumption. From day one we've had a commitment to responsibly caring for the health of our pastures and began using basic forms of rotational grazing back when the benefits were first coming out from innovators such as Joel Salatin in the 1990's. In the fall of 2023 we had a management shift when Micaiah, fresh out of high school, began handling the day to day operations on the farm. At this time we saw the huge demand of consumers wanting to know where their food comes from and realized the difficulty of finding quality meat that people know is raised sustainably and provides healthy nutrition for their families. From that point on we began to transition from strictly a cow/calf operation to using our pastures to finish out beef to feed our community. We also got back to our regenerative grazing roots and focused on managing for the health of the land like God intended. The sheep were another new edition for 2024 starting with a flock of 13 in the spring of that year. They've been a wonderful edition to the farm bringing much joy and many benefits to the pasture. We are excited and expectant to see what comes next as we turn a new page here at Rehoboth and are praying for great things to come! We hope you'll join us! - The Lindquist Family
